Under 13 Girls extend lead in Metropolitan League
Once again it was the TVH under 13 girls who were prominent at Horsenden Hill, Perivale for the fourth Metropolitan League race of the season. Leading for all of the very muddy course Ava White won this race with ease. Behind her, Kate Price and Melina Duer contested third place which this time Kate just got the better of Melina. In the county championships the previous week their finishing order was reversed. In seventh place Philippine Poupart-Lafarge just held off Olivia Colegrave who had a great run in the mud. One who didn’t enjoy it so much was Lily Salkeld who fell over but got up and finished a respectful 11th. Charlotte Cooney-Quinn also ran well for her 16th place and Lily Dafter improved to finish in the top 20 with her 18th place.
The under 13 boys also had enough boys running to complete a team. First home was Basil Rock in 11th place followed by Alfie Taylor in 22nd and Aidan Ferrand, 42nd. Next home was Bill Fradgerly in 48th place just ahead of Jude Gunn. In the Under 11 mixed race, Morris Rock was 18th boy and Mabel Salkeld was 13th girl.
Due to the schools race in Kent it was brave of Elizabeth Biggs to be our lone under 17 representing the Valley with 28th place. In the u17/15 boys race Oliver Weintraub was our only starter. Unfortunately he had to drop out after being up with the leaders on their first lap.
I don’t have team results yet but of course the under 13 girls won their event.

SEVENOAKS SCHOOL – KNOLE RUN
After last years second team place the TVH girls running for Godolphin and Latymer School were again in the medals with their third team place. But this year they also had a magnificent second place individual in Kosana Weir. Her time of 19:32 was 16 seconds faster than sister India’s 19:48 5th place. This is one of her best runs ahead of India. Next home was Verity Walker in 20th place with 20:53 closely followed by Margaux Couffon, 21st in 20:57. Other members of the team were Rose Barkle, 70th in 23:13, Matilda Ferrand, 82nd, 23:47 and Dana Jabre 117th in 25:54. For St Paul’s Girls School Charlotte Buckley was 10th, 20:16, slightly down on her 7th place of last year. Rosie Barkle also had a good run, 68th, 23:10 for Christ’s Church Hospital school.
