TVH Vets finish fourth in Southern League
TVH Vets men travelled to Perivale on a fine Wednesday evening for the 4th and final installment of the SCVAC Vets league Mid-London division. A couple of injuries left the team slightly depleted but no less determined to hold on to the solid 4th place attained over the previous three outings.
200m
In the M35A Greg Bennett ran 4th in 28 sec flat and Paul Woodgate ran 3rd M35B in 33.3 seconds. Nick Michael was 6th in the M60 with a time of 34.6 seconds.
800m
Paul Woodgate ran 5th M35B in 2:33.5 and Richard Hooley running a shorter distance than usual was 4th M50 in 2:31.1
3000m
Christian Neilson was 5th M35A finishing in 10:38.2 and Paul Woodgate was 5th in the M35B with a time of 10:58.2. John Husbands worked hard for a 12:14.6 3rd place in the M50.
Long Jump
Greg Bennett jumped into 3rd M35 with 4.69m and Trevor Wade showed his class by jumping 4.02m in the M60 giving TVH vets their only 1st place of the series!
High Jump
Trevor Wade jumped in the M50 category for a 2nd place 1.25m.
Javelin
Greg Bennett threw a 2nd place 34.42m in the M35
Hammer
In the M35 Greg Bennett was 4th with 14.26m and John Husbands 5th in the M50 with 12.17m
To finish off the evening, TVH men finished 5th in the 4x 100m relay.
