Manuel Da Silva reports:

Including the following finalists:

Clieo Stephenson 100m 3rd (BRONZE) 11.95. It’s great to see Clieo back after her injury troubles from last year.

Clieo Stephenson and Grace Andam 4x100m 1st (GOLD) 46.94 representing Brunel University.

Zoey Clark 400m 3rd (BRONZE) 53.11, New Club Record. This was Zoey’s first outdoor 400m of the season and she took four tenths of a second off her own club record. The 400m race was the most competitive race of these championship with the two athletes that beat Zoey (Kirsten McAslan and Laviai Nielsen) having to run fantastic races to beat Perri Shakes Drayton’s old championship record set in 2010.

Chris McAlister 400m hurdles 5th 53.16 PB. Chris improved his PB by over 2 tenths in his first outdoor competition of the year.

Sarah Johnson 10,000m, 2nd (SILVER) 36:32.08 PB. Sarah has been a regular member of the TVH middle distance training group this winter and we look forward in seen her run in TVH colours this summer.

Shannon Connolly Pole Vault 7th 3.30m. In tricky vaulting conditions in the rain, Shannon did well to score her university points in her first ever BUCS Championships

Ogo Anochirionye Long Jump 8th 6.96m. Ogo has continued his good form from the indoors and we look forward to seeing him regularly jumping over 7m this summer.

Lia Stephenson Triple Jump 2nd (SILVER) 12.53m. In her first outdoor competition of the season, Lia continued TVH’s great medal winning tradition in this event and was only 15cm from winning.

Danielle Opara Shot Putt 2nd (SILVER) 14.17m New Club Record. Danielle (pictured above) broke Phyllis Agbo’s old club record, Phyllis was recently honoured a TVH Life Member at the AGM.

Carla Letheby Discus 9th 38.47m. This was Carla’s best ever throw at BUCS but lowest finish as the strength in depth continues to improve at these championships.
