TVH ladies win UKWAL match by record number of points

UKWAL Eton, Match 2, 6th July 2019. It was a great day for the ladies team. TVH dominated the day from start to finish – achieving our best ever team performance! Including breaking the record of UKWAL points achieved by a team.
Not only did we achieve the biggest ever points total from a UKWAL Premier team (270.5), we also gained the biggest points margin of 62.5 over the 2nd placed team.
TVH also had the most 1st place finishes within one match (17 plus Aisha in the non-scoring 400m) including two wins in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays, both of which were the second quickest that a TVH ladies team have ever run.
The day saw four PBs from Charlotte Buckley in the 1500m (4:35.52), Chloe Baker in the 2000m steeplechase (7:31.32), Jessica Tappin in the400m hurdles (57.48) and Tracy Barlow in the 3000m (9:44.07).
TVH also had two athletes making their TVH debuts in the UKWAL – Nanci Scott (javelin) and Sheriffah Arewa (long jump and high jump). Welcome to the team!
TVH Track Athlete of the Match – Rachel Miller for a fantastic double A string victory 100m and 200m, plus a storming leg in the 4x100m winning team.
TVH Field Athlete of the Match – Angela Barrett for her three events long jump, leg of her 4x400m and an excellent triple jump 13.15m
TVH Club Athlete of the Match – Jessica Tappin for a huge PB in the 400m hurdles, a very good 100m hurdles race and a leg both of the 4x100m and 4×400 team winning teams.
Finally a special mention to Montana Jackson who has converted to the 400m hurdles this year. Montana filled a gap that we had in the triple jump (an event that she hasn’t been able to train for nearly two years) and jumped a fantastic 12.06m (after her 400m hurdles race) to win the B string.
