Open meetings results round-up

Olivia Sparks finished a fine series of open meeting races with another 300m PB of 43.11 secs at the South of England meeting at Chelmsford on 30th August. Olivia is pictured after training on a sunny evening at Linford Christie Stadium. 

Molly Caudery  who set the UK U20 pole vault record in 2018 and competed indoors in the US in January and February this year, followed up a 4.12m pole vault at Loughborough on 16th August with 4.15m at Par in  Cornwall on 30th August.

Katie Olding followed up her 1500m win at Nuneaton with a 3000m race in 9:48.11 at Tooting Bec on 2nd September. This isn’t a distance that Katie runs very often and this was a 53 seconds improvement on her previous best from 2016.    In the 800m races at Tooting Bec  U15 Anna Kelly ran a new PB of 2:35.44 as did U13 Natasha Bennett winning her race in 2:36.42.

Under 20 James Grindle improved his 200m best to 22.56 secs running into a headwind at Loughborough on 30th August. Oli Barbaresi  also ran a PB in his first track race of the season at the BMC meeting in Stretford on   25th August clocking 1:56.41 in the 800m.    Dan Mulryan  clocked 8:26.1  for 3000m at Wimbledon on 26th August and Michael Cameron won his race in 8:35.4 a good  improvement of 7 secs on his previous best.
