Molly wins World title in Glasgow!

Molly Caudery produced an amazing composed performance to win the pole vault at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow on Saturday 2nd March 2024.  Molly has the world lead performance (and PB and TVH club record!) of 4.86m in 2024 and has consistently cleared 4.80m or higher this season, including over the past three weekends;  4.85m at the UK Championships in Birmingham, 4.86m in Rouen, France and 4.80m in Glasgow to win the world title.

Molly was coached by her dad Stuart as a young athlete, first competing for TVH in 2017 and had a fantastic season in 2018 when winning the European Champion Clubs competition for TVH in Birmingham in very windy conditions and set a UK Junior (under 20) record of 4.53m in Germany, but had to contend with injury setbacks in the following seasons.

In 2022 Molly set a new PB of 4.60m at an event in Spain but even when winning silver at the Commonwealth Games and competing in the European Championships  she was dealing with an achilles tendon problem. A belated start to the 2023 season after recuperation saw Molly start to progress rapidly and she has improved by an incredible 26cm since last July to lead the world rankings and is now able to really start to achieve her potential under the guidance of coach Scott Simpson.

We wish Molly well and even better performances for the summer season in this Olympic year.
