Molly breaks British Record with World Lead vault in Toulouse

Congratulations to Molly Caudery for her British record vault of 4.92m in damp, drizzly conditions at the Toulouse Capitole Perche pole vault street event in Toulouse on Saturday 22nd June. After first time clearances at 4.36m, 4.51m, 4.61m, second time clearance at 4.73m and first time clearance at 4.80m, Molly had the bar raised to a new British record height of 4.92m and cleared on her second attempt and went on to have one attempt at 5m.

This was Molly’s first event since the European Championships in Rome where she won bronze and competed for TVH at Eton a few days before that.

In a fantastic 2024 so far Molly won the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow on 2nd March and had an indoor world lead (and previous personal best) of 4.86m.

The new British record takes Molly to 7th on the all-time world rankings.

We wish Molly and all TVH athletes well at the UK Athletics Championships British Trials in Manchester on 29th and 30th June.
