Middlesex Indoors – Reece Earle and Noor-Eldin Mahmoud top national rankings
Middlesex Indoors Championships, Lee Valley 16th – 17th March 2019
Well done to all the TVH athletes that competed the Middlesex Indoor Championships at Lee Valley. U15 Boys – two of our athletes are now at the top of the 2019 UK age group rankings, Reece Earle is ranked 1st in the 60m (7.11 secs) and also 4th in the 200m (23.46 secs), Noor-Eldin Mahmoud (below) is ranked equal 1st in the high jump (1.83m).
Congratulations to Abdi Mohamed (U20 800m), Florian Vogel (SM 60m), Reece Earle (U15 60m and 200m), Mohamed Boumaraf (U15 300m), Noor-Eldin Mahmoud (U15 HJ), Angelita Broadbelt-Blake (SW 60m Hurdles), Angela Barrett (SW Triple Jump), Ruth-Ann Otaruoh (U17 Triple Jump), Hannah Hall (U20 200m) and Laurence Owen (SM 60m) on their Gold medals.
Also, congratulations to Olivia Sparks (U15 800m), Max Bishop (U15 800m), Melina Duer (U17 1500m), Ruth-Ann Otaruoh (U17 Long Jump), Laurence Owen (SM Long Jump), Edward Sesay (U17 60m), Neon Richards (U17 60m Hurdles), Robert Datnow (SM 400m), Kimberley Oamen (U17 Triple Jump), Shenali Kuranage (U15 High Jump) on their Silvers and Stan Vilga (SM Pole Vault), Patricia Grudz- Edmondson (U15 60m Hurdles) and Charlie Rollo (U15 800m), on their Bronzes. You all did the club very proud.
English Schools Cross Country, Leeds 16th March 2019 – four TVH athletes finished the long cross country season with good performances at the English Schools cross country championships in Leeds. Representing Middlesex Schools, Jasmine Palmer was our highest finisher in 25th place in the Inter Girls race, while in the Senior Girls race Charlotte Buckley finished 70th , closely followed by Sarah Kebbel in 79th and after a late call-up, Amelia Casey was near halfway in this high quality national race in 165th.
Reading Half Marathon 17th March 2019 – running in a breakaway lead group Paulos Surafel finished an excellent 3rd in 64:12. Robert Collins, preparing for the London marathon, finished 44th in this popular road race attracting many thousands of runners in 71:23 a 3 minute improvement on his previous best.
