Well done to the 7-strong ladies in the team who travelled to Stanmer Park in Brighton to complete an exceptionally tough 8km course. The four fastest ladies scored and all took home bronze team medals.

Tracy Barlow ran an excellent race coming home first TVH lady in 15th place (31.43). Lucy Smith travelled all the way from Loughborough to join us in her debut team event, she was the second TVH lady home coming in 25th place (32:25). Lucy is a triathlete and a talented XC runner, we are looking forward to seeing more good races soon.

Lisa da Silva started fast and continued to work hard finishing closely behind Lucy in 37th place (32:55). Victoria Carter, who completed the scoring team, finished in 56th place (34:10). Joanna Mobed worked hard all the way round finishing 69th (34:50). Siana Jones found it tough and finished 145th (38:34) and Christine Munden, showing much improved XC running fitness, finished 346th (56:02).

TVH’s amazing team spirit, strength and depth in the squad was demonstrated around the Stanmer Park hills – with 3 out of the 4 scorers missing from the team last year, TVH still managed to equalled their best ever ladies team performance to claim bronze medals for the second consecutive year. It was a very closely fought team race with the top four teams separated by only 31 points. Winchester won the race with 102 points, followed by Belgrave with 116 points and TVH were equal with Herne Hill Harriers with 133 points but won the bronze medals as our 4th placed athlete finished ahead of HHH’s fourth finisher.
