Zoey Clark bringing home TVH relay team
Elite Indoors Meetings February 2021
TVH athletes are competing at elite level indoors meetings in the UK and abroad.
Zoey Clark clocked 7.48 secs for the 60m and 52.03 secs for 400m at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow on 6th February improving on times of 7.58 secs and 52.40 secs a week earlier. Selection Trials events for the European Indoors took place at three venues on the weekend of 20th & 21st February. Zoey ran 53.23 secs in Manchester and has been selected for the relay in the GB team at the European event taking place in Torun, Poland on 4th to 7th March.
Amelia Strickler competed at Loughborough on 14th February and threw 17.02m in the Shot and improved to 17.26m a week later at the same venue and has also been selected for the GB team at the European Indoors.
Pole vaulter Molly Caudery also competed at Loughborough on 14th February and cleared 4.30m, Molly’s best jump since her 4.53m UK Junior record in 2018 and equalling her indoor PB.
Hurdler Chris McAlister has competed three times over 400m indoors in February, with a best time of 47.91 secs. Two other TVH athletes have competed indoors in the 400m, Ricardo dos Santos Soares ran an indoor PB of 46.64 in Ostrava, Czech Republic on the 3rd Feb after two earlier races in France and will represent Portugal at the European Indoors and Luke Lennon-Ford ran 48.48 secs in Ghent, Belgium on 13th Feb.
Also competing at the Selection Trials events were two TVH Higher Competition Athletes; Joel Khan jumped a PB of 2.23m in the high jump to gain selection for the GB team and triple jumper Sam Trigg-Petrovic had a best jump of 15.42m at Lee Valley on 20th Feb.
