Club Records for Jack Hatton and Reece Earle at Track Academy Indoor Sprint Challenge
Connie Henry’s Track Academy hosted their annual indoor meeting at Willesden Sports Centre on Sat 22nd December comprising two rounds of 60m and 60m hurdles. With many TVH athletes competing, the outstanding performances of the day came from Jack Hatton and Reece Earle.
Jack was seeking a fast time to gain selection for an international meeting and did not disappoint, improving his own club record with an impressive 7.94 secs and also running the fastest times in the 60m flat with 6.92 secs in both rounds.
14 year old Reece made a big improvement on his previous best with a time of 7.23 secs in the first round of the 60m flat and with seeding for the 2nd round of races based on the 1st round times, Reece was in the fastest heat with Jack and improved further to break the U15 Boys club record with 7.14 secs.

Another young athlete busy with indoor competitions over the Christmas holidays was Tessa Glazebrook who finished an impressive 4th out of 26 athletes in her first indoor pentathlon at the Southern championships at Lee Valley on 17th December. Tessa also competed at the London Young Athletes Indoor Games event at Lee Valley on 5th / 6th January and made further improvements in the 60m hurdles (9.58 secs) and 800m.
