Bronze team medals and an individual gold medal for TVH ladies at the Middlesex cross-country championships

An undulating course with sticky conditions underfoot made the Middlesex cross country 8km race a challenging run. There were 90 competitors and 10 complete teams in the senior women’s race. Six strong TVH ladies completed the course and, despite missing a few faster athletes, they still came home with a bronze team medal.

Tracy Barlow was first to finish, with a clear overall win, she took home a gold individual medal for an outstanding performance (28:58, 1st lady). Chloe Beckett was next to arrive at the finish line. Chloe is a recent addition to the team, she showed great strength working her way through the field to finish 16th (33.44). Not far behind Chloe was Victoria Carter, a consistently strong and valuable member of the team, she finished 21st (34.12). The final scoring lady was Siana jones in 36th position (36.28) with ongoing, never-ending injuries. Tri-athlete Jess Bass, a strong and committed country runner. Just recovering from a nasty cold, Jess finished 50th (38.30). We were very happy to have Barbara Maddison in the team, she finished 70th (43.23). Hopefully she will be able to continue joining TVH at cross country races now that she has some big hills to train on in Wales.
