7 club records in 7 days for TVH athletes

Continuing on from TVH’s fantastic performances at the county championships. TVH athletes set an amazing seven club records in one week.

Aisha Naibe-Wey is in the form of her life running 57.26 in Belgium to run a new senior women’s club record over the 400m hurdles and in doing so achieved her first UKA European U23 Championships standard.

At the Youth Development League lower age group in Guildford there was an amazing four club records. Middle distance athlete, Charlotte Buckley just missed out in the 1500m record but went on to break the U15 girls 300m record in a fast time of 43.1. U13 boy, Samuel Conteh set a superb double club record in the 100m (12.4) and 200m (24.8). The final club record to go in Guildford was the U13 girls 4x100m when the quartet of Mia Turner-Moise, Nia Johnson, Lacey Johnson and Kayla Lohan ran a very fast 52.5.

At the Southern Athletics League match in Walton, India Weir set a fantastic U17 women’s1500m steeplechase club record (5:09.9), which is quicker than TVH’S senior and U20’s record. In that same race both her twin sister Kosana and Alice Harray were under the English Schools entry standard of 5:25.0

In a very close finish Kosana Weir beat India to the U17’s women’s club record at the Watford Open on Wednesday 3rd June running 4:41.46.
