TVH medal success at the British Championships

24-25th August 2019, Alexander Stadium, Birmingham

Thames Valley Harriers were incredibly proud to have 23 athletes competing across the weekend with 7 podium performances! As usual, it was rather windy and testing conditions at the Alexander stadium, but that did not stop our athletes achieving some fantastic results. For many the weekend represented the culminating competition of the season, with athletes wanting to end on a high, whereas for others it was a chance to gain qualification for the World Championships.

To qualify for the British Championship in itself is a massive achievement, and we want to say a massive well done to all those that competed across the weekend.

We had 5 athletes achieve Bronze medals and 2 athletes gain Silver medals! A special mention to those on the podium below:

Zoey Clark 400m BRONZE

Dani Chattenton 1500m BRONZE

Chris McAlister 400mH BRONZE

Pippa Wingate Hammer BRONZE

Gavin Johnson-Assoon Javelin BRONZE

Amelia Strickler Shot put SILVER

Fingers crossed for those athletes that could be selected and for those now taking a well deserved break, enjoy some down time, and we look forward to seeing what’s to come next year!
