Thames Valley Harriers young athletes had another good start to the winter season. Taking part in the Middlesex County Road Relay Championships they had a mixture of winning times and good team results at the Minet Cycle Circuit in Hayes.
The 2013/14 athletics season has drawn to a successful close, but there are around 100 people who still haven’t paid subs. If this is you, please take some action! At only £50 a year (less if you have a concession) it is great value when compared to the cost of a gym membership.

Despite a three line whip from Team Manager, Paul Oppe, the team that the Valley fielded in this final British League Match of the season was just not strong enough to secure a place in the top 5 and avoid relegation to Division 2.
Congratulations to all members of the Southern Athletics League team, including athletes, officials, team managers and other helpers. It was a great team performance over the season that included 4 wins and a 2nd place to win the league!

Thames Valley Harriers ladies are officially ranked the 3rd best athletics team in the UK and the best in the South of England, with a fantastic performance in their final UKWAL match of the season in Eton on Saturday.
The ladies finished an outstanding in 2nd on the day, behind overall league champions for the second consecutive year, Edinburgh AC, who will go on to represent Great Britain in the European Club Champions Cup next year. This result moved the team up to 3rd in the league which is a remarkable achievement, considering that this was TVH’s ladies first ever season in the top flight of club athletics. TVH took their largest ever team to a UKWAL match with 27 athletes including three U20’s making their senior debuts, all showing real team spirit, fighting for every point to be rewarded with this well-deserved result. In additional to 2nd place on the day, there were also two fantastic club records, 10 PB’s and five event wins that were backed up by a host of top three performances.
