Middlesex Indoors Championships, Lee Valley 16th – 17th March 2019
Well done to all the TVH athletes that competed the Middlesex Indoor Championships at Lee Valley. U15 Boys – two of our athletes are now at the top of the 2019 UK age group rankings, Reece Earle is ranked 1st in the 60m (7.11 secs) and also 4th in the 200m (23.46 secs), Noor-Eldin Mahmoud (below) is ranked equal 1st in the high jump (1.83m).

Rachel Miller, Pippa Rogan and Reece Earle have all been in sparkling form indoors, continuing to improve their indoor club records. Rachel ran 7.19 secs in the 60m at the Birmingham Grand Prix on 16th Feb and Pippa cleared 1.83m in the high jump at an event in the Czech Republic on 1st Feb and then 1.84m in Athlone, Ireland on 13th Feb.
Good luck to Rachel, Zoey Clark and Amelia Strickler representing GB at the European Indoors in Glasgow starting on Friday 1st March.
England U15 / U17 /U20 Indoor Championships, Sheffield 23rd & 24th February 2019
Congratulations to Reece Earle and Toni Ademuwagun for winning performances at the National Indoor Championships in Sheffield.
Reece ran a new pb of 7.12 secs in the semi-final of the U15 Boys 60m (improving his recent club record) before winning the final in emphatic style in 7.16 secs. British Indoor Championships – Birmingham 9th / 10th February 2019
With several TVH athletes competing at the British Indoor Championships, the best performances over the weekend came from our three medallists; gold for Zoey Clark and silvers for Rachel Miller and Amelia Strickler.
Zoey Clark comfortably progressed to the 400m final with wins in Saturday’s heat in 53.87 and semi-final in 52.62. Zoey used her indoor racing experience in the final coming past leader Laviai Nielsen in the home straight to win the title in 52.85. Zoey was particularly happy with the win giving her automatic qualification for the British team for the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow. It has been a busy start to the year for many TVH athletes competing Indoors with competitions every weekend in January. The highlights for this month have included new records for Pippa Rogan, Rachel Miller, Amelia Strickler and Jack Hatton.
Rachel (coached by Linford Christie) and Jack had secured their places at the Vienna / Bratislava International meetings on 26th / 27th January and both ran PBs and new Club Records at the South of England Indoor Championships at Lee Valley; Rachel running 7.24 secs for 60m and Jack 7.90 secs for 60m hurdles. Rachel improved further to 7.20 secs in Vienna and Jack ran 7.93 secs in Bratislava. Luke Lennon-Ford also competed in Vienna running 47.86 secs in the 400m.
Pippa Rogan broke the long standing Championship Best Performance at Lee Valley, equalling her 1.82m indoor best. Amelia Strickler improved her indoor shot best to 17.24m in Cardiff on 11th January, just 6cm less than her outdoor best. Connie Henry’s Track Academy hosted their annual indoor meeting at Willesden Sports Centre on Sat 22nd December comprising two rounds of 60m and 60m hurdles. With many TVH athletes competing, the outstanding performances of the day came from Jack Hatton and Reece Earle.
