Thames Valley Harriers are recruiting for the roles of General Manager and Club Administrator.

General Manager  Thames Valley Harriers athletics club

Salary   £30k  pa                                                                                 

 We are looking to appoint a General Manager to oversee the management of the club. The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of the club’s operation and development, working with and leading the club’s experienced volunteers.  

Thames Valley Harriers (TVH) are based at the Linford Christie Stadium, Wormwood Scrubs in West London and are one of the UKs most established and successful athletics clubs.  TVH compete throughout the year in track & field, road and cross country events. The club welcomes all levels and age groups from beginners to international athletes and works closely with partners and local schools and community organisations to promote and improve local athletics.

The main role of the General Manager is to promote and organise the club to improve the  infrastructure and performance in what has to date been a largely volunteer led organisation.   The club train at the Linford Christie Stadium on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and at weekends and most competitions take place at weekends. Flexible working hours will include evenings and weekends.

Club Administrator   Thames Valley Harriers athletics club

Salary   £15k pa  part-time role 21 hours per week                                                                             

We are looking to appoint a part-time  Club Administrator.  The successful applicant will have good communication skills and provide administrative support to the club’s committee, lead officers and members and act as the main club contact for external organisations.  

The Club Administrator will carry out a variety of roles including organising internal and external communications, arranging payments and keeping financial records, helping organise club events  and providing support to the General Manager, the Heads of Coaching and Competition and the Membership Secretary.

Flexible working hours equivalent to 3 days per week will include attending and minuting occasional evening meetings.
