The opening North West London YA cross country match of the season started promisingly with an individual win in the Under 13 girls race by Ava White and also a team win backed up with sixth place by the ‘B’ team.

MIXED FORTUNES FOR TVH MEN IN SOUTHERN ROAD RELAYS
It was another Sunday start for the Valley’s senior and veteran men’s teams as they traveled to Rushmoor Arena, Aldershot, for the Southern Road Relay Championships.
The senior men traveled with an 8 man team which included 1 man making their road relay debut for the Valley, while the veteran men had a 5 man team with 1 member making their debut in the veteran’s road relay.
Chris Smith has had an amazing summer season over the mountains. Chris is one of TVH’s best cross country runners, in the last few years over the summer months he has successfully turned his attention to the mountains and has become one the best mountain runners in country. Chris’s fantastic summer season has been rewarded by picking up multiple individual and team medals with the highlight being a 10th place finish and a team bronze medal at the World Mountain Running Championship in Betws-y-Coed, North Wales.

There were five fantastic representatives at Saturdays South of England AA 4-stage road relays in Aldershot. The A team of Victoria Carter, Fiona Thompson, Siana Jones and Eve Goodhart worked hard to place a creditable 19th place.
Equalling the club best position in the Under 15 girl’s 3 x 3000m relay the TVH girls were a magnificent fifth out of 63 finishing teams. The first lap had Margaux Couffon having her initiation in relay racing having a great run to finish 15th.
In a high class Under 17 Women’s race the Valley team also had a great result when finishing seventh.
